Lady Amalthea from The Last Unicorn! One of my favorite childhood films!!
I've had friends encouraging me to make a Lady Amalthea costume for YEARS and finally was able to make it happen when gifted me the beautiful vintage lavender velvet I used for the gown.
In the film, the last unicorn is transformed into a human and then referred to as "Lady Amalthea" - during these scenes she wears a lavender dress. In the film the dress is quite simplistic, so I took artistic liberties and redesigned it a bit to look more realistic. The pattern was taken off a generic medieval dress pattern and heavily altered. This was the first gown I've ever made and it was a huge challenge!

You did an AMAZING JOB!!! Love it! I have always wanted to cosplay as Amalthea, but I thought her costume looked too simplistic and boring. I love the creative liberty you took with it! So much more realistic looking, cuz honestly, I thought those dark purple bars in the front were supposed to represent lacing as well. I would LOVE to have a cosplay of my own like this some day! <3 But, I just got my sewing machine last year, I don't think I could pull it off... Beautiful work, what I could aspire to do some day!
