Kirin Armor 01 by nihilistique Kirin Armor 01 by nihilistique
So this is the best picture I've found so far of my Kirin Armor cosplay Sunday of Anime Expo 2011.

With weapons this time! The Kirin Bolts were really fun to make and turned out way better than I imagined.

I have actual good pictures coming, So I may scrap this when I get those. Also planning on doing an overview of how I made it with some detail shots.

Also click here for a 360 view of this costume. Taken at the same time this picture was.

(that's my boyfriend and friend in the back looking lulzy btw)

Well, I really like how crisp your details came out. Especially that red/orange trim and the collar shape! I cosplayed Kirin armor too and it was deceptively difficult... ^^;

Thanks so much! Yeah, I agree. I actually originally chose Kirin because most of my favorite armor sets just seemed way too complicated - but as I was working on it I realized there were so many more details than I thought! It took me way longer than I had planned and I still had to leave things out, lol!
